Role 1: Modeling phonon transport and electron-phonon coupling in HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) and wide-band gap materials (AlN, Diamond, BN, etc) and their interfaces. (1/2)
Role 2: Thermodynamic cycle and vapor chamber modeling, fabrication, and testing. (3/3)
Role 3: Robot actuator (displacement control motor) cooling system design and analysis. (1/2)
Role 4: Area-scalable capillary-driven two-phase cooler design, fabrication, and testing for energy-efficient data center cooling applications. (1/2)
Role 5: Phase separation condenser design, fabrication, and testing. (0/1)
Role 6: Development of a closed-loop thermosiphon system or boiling chamber for HPC server cooling. (0/2)
Role 7: AI-based topology optimization for advanced 3D packaging thermal solution from interconnects to fluidic cooler. (2/4)
Role 8: VOF simulation to estimate two-phase permeability in porous media (0/2)

Q. Who can apply?
Students from Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Physics, Chemistry, and other related departments are all welcome.
Q. Is self-funding allowed?
No. Admission or appointment depends strictly on lab funding. We strongly recommend applying for external scholarships like GKS.
Q. What if I have a low GPA and no prior research experience?
You can still be selected if you can demonstrate exceptional skills or abilities.
Q. How do I apply via email?

Q. How is the group run?
We hold weekly 1-on-1 meetings and bi-weekly subgroup meetings.
Q. What is the required commitment for undergraduate researchers?
Undergraduate researchers must commit to a minimum of 1.5 years in the lab to achieve meaningful research results.
